Confirmation link not working in Gmail and Outlook

Hello,

I have an issue with the account confirmation email. I tried many different things but nothing seems to work. At the moment I am using the simplest hyperlink:
Activate

When trying to click the hyperlink nothing happens but when copying the link and pasting it in a new tab everything is fine.

Can you please help me fix this issue?

What do you mean nothing happens? Clicking it doesn't open a browser window and navigate to it? That sounds like a browser problem or email client problem. Once it has left CB it's out of CBs hands.

By default CB simple just sends the flat URL, which the email client is what makes it clickable. You can enable HTML emails if not done already within CB > Configuration > Registration then reconfigure the Pending email and include the confirmation URL as an HTML href usage to try and work around possible email client or browser bug.

Basically I found the problem. There is a problem with the confirmation link. It's formed like this: https://%20%20https://studenthub.com.cy/cb-profile/confirm?confirmcode=reg060e96d64073c19607d175e867e806f40d91276b.

No idea where the extract HTTPS is coming from. We build the URL beginning with the live_site value provided by Joomla. Ensure live_site within configuration.php is empty or set properly if needed.

Then I've no clue. Did you modify the language files and adjust the pending email language string or supply a new email body to CB > Configuration > Registration? The [CONFIRM] substitute includes the full URL. So if you're trying to insert it into HTML or something of the sort that's all you need to supply for the href. If you're using any 3rd party SEF or URL altering extensions try disabling them to see if issue persists.
