I have an issue where we have disabled likes, but they're reappearing once someone replies to a reply on a comment.

So it goes like this:

The post itself: Likes disabled
A comment on that post: Likes disabled
A reply to that comment: Likes disabled
A reply to that reply: Likes become enabled

Is there a way to fix this? Ideally we don't want likes to show up at all.

Likes usage for replies can be disabled/enabled in Activity > Comments > Replies > Likes parameters. If using just a standalone comments stream then the parameter for those is in Comments > Replies > Likes.

Whether you disable this from your menu item or from global CB Activity parameters is up to you. If it's a profile activity stream being output then you can override this from within the Activity tab as well. Likes on replies is globally by default disabled. Please ensure CB Activity is completely up to date. I am unable to confirm your issue.

I just applied the latest nightly build and checked every instance in configuration. They all were set to follow the global setting. I changed them all to disabled and this still is happening after the third instance of a reply. Any possible other place to look? Thanks!

No idea, works perfectly fine in my tests. Logout and log back in after changing the parameters to ensure it's just not a cached instance. Aside from that you'll need to explain exactly what stream this is happening on (recent activity, my activity, activity tab, activity field?).

Well, I've got the cb-activity module published on the home page showing the recent activity.

If you aren't logged in to the site you see image #1. If you login and look at the same location you see image #2.

(And you see the same view as image #2 on "My activity" - it is set to be visible only if logged in.

I notice three levels of "Like" in configuration. (See image #3 .) Coincidence that the "likes" start appearing at 3 replies in the activity? All are set as disabled as are every other instance of "Like" I can find. Puzzling!

My guess is your module has likes specifically enabled for replies and is why the global parameter isn't disabling it. Edit your module and under the Activity tab find the Replies section (it will be in bold) then set it back to "Same as Global" or to "Disable".
