I have disabled JHC Optimize. Then logged in with user A. That worked. Logged out and tried to login with user B.Thst resulted in the same error. Trying to login with user A then also does not work anymore,
AFAIK there is no other caching involved. I do have a module that uses a CDN for images and scripts. Could that also be a problem?

If it's acting as a web worker and caching more than just images and scripts then yes that's possible. Try turning it off and seeing if issue persists.
