uddeIM 0.7b released

Messages are never deleted from database automatically or periodically, so when you choose:

- admins only -> messages are deleted when an admin opens hin inbox,
- all users -> messages are deleted whenever an inbox is opened,
- manually -> currently this cannot be called

This minimizes database operations.

So maybe I'm just stupid, but I installed the component, but I can't figure out how to access it on the front end.

I created a menu item going to that component front-end, but when I try to access it, I get a "you are not logged in" message, even thought I am.

I can't see anything in CB either.

Can someone help me?

You should.

Have you published the component? The component should have "registered" or "special" rights.

Du you have any SEF component installed? Which Joomla version do you use?

I am using uddeIM 0.7b with Joomla 1.5 RC3 and CB 1.1
Installed and configured fine. But, users cannot read their messages! They can see the notification on the cblogin module, saying they have x new private messages, but uddeIM 0.7b says you have no message in your inbox.

Could you help please?

Was it a clean install or an update?
It sounds that you database table is currupt. The error appears when "toread" is "0" (new message) and "totrash" is "1" (message deleted). Don't know why this is in you database (do you have Fireboard installed, afaik there was a problem with one of the last versions?).

You could try to repair this using

UPDATE jos_uddeim SET totrash=0 WHERE toread=0 AND totrash=1

Could you post some 2-3 examples of messages which are listed as new but not shown (remove the message body plz)?

It is a clean install and I do have Fireboard too.

Maybe I should uninstall CB, Fireboard, and UddeIM and restart from scratch?

Will it solve the table issue?
