Well since I updated to 1.6 when my users get a message the pop-up no longer works..

I just installed the new hotfix and that didn't solve it either :pinch:

Suggestions? Thanks in advance! :)

Have you installed the main component? The error says that uddeimlib10.php was not found and that is installed by the main component.

There have been no change in uddeIM 1.6. The hotfix only adds a line that is required for AJAX. When you have not enabled AJAX there is no change.

Use mod_uddeim 1.5 when you think it helps.

Okay this is a situation now. I uninstalled the components modules and plug-ins and started over again. I then installed just the component and accessing private messaging from the kunena forum seem to work okay. I then installed cb_plug_PMS_uddiem via community builder and then when you try and access private messaging via the forum, you get this error message. Any ideas what is going on?

[code:1]SQL errorDB function failed with error number 1054
Unknown column 'public' in 'field list' SQL=INSERT INTO jos_uddeim_emn (status, popup, public, autoresponder, autoforward, autoforwardid, userid) VALUES (0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 2921)

Is it too hard to check the README or the FAQ _before_ updating a component?

I'm not updating anything, I'm installing it for the first time.

The stupid thing is if I send someone a private message from the forum using the "PM" tab whilst I'm signed in as super admin everything seems to work. If I signed in as a regular user I get the error message. Anyway, I just thought you may know what's going on. I'll have a look through the README and see if there's anything obvious. It would be easier if I was a little more familiar with databases but unfortunately I'm not
