uddeIM 1.6 released

It seems there are problems with the handling of mutations, 'Umlauten'.
When you are in an user's profile and want to send a message to the user, it adds the name of the user automatically as recipient. Works fine until the recipient's name contains a mutation, 'Umlaut', like 'ä', 'ö', 'ü' or 'ß'. Then you cannot send the message, because it adds some weird characters instead of the correct one.
If you just choose the name out of the userlist, it works fine :pinch:

Some hints?

How does the link look like that is called from the user profile in order to show the compose page?

Checked on Joomla 1.0 and 1.5. Both are showing all Umlauts correctly. Are you sure that the DB encoding is correct?

Ah, I found the error's root: in the backend the charset at Uddeim was set as 'ISO-8859-1'.
Now I switched it to UTF-8 and it works.

when joomla 1.5 site is not installed in the root directory..

i got this..

i disabled the plugin for the moment until i resolved this..
