GMaps and CB Rough integration up online now

I have completed my initial build of a GMaps/CB plugin that maps a users location from their profile. It provides two tabs ... the users location and the users location and all users within a geographical radius from the user. If you are interested in beta testing, please email me at cs1559@firestorm-technologies.com. I am looking for at least one more tester and would prefer to have someone from Europe do the testing.

I am definitely interested in testing this in Europe.
I am already mapping users from CB on a map, but I need:
- a tab in their profile that shows a detailed map. I see you fixed that.
- and a map that shows nearest users

I am fairly new to this so I would need some instructions on how to implement this…
Anything u need- we´re here.

I solved it this way: I added an item to the FAQs - what to do if the marker is not located correctly - and refer to this site:
mapki.com/getLonLat.php

the user can click on the exact location, enter the fields in the geomap tab and ..done.
In spain the geocodes work fairly well.

I just wanted to follow-up on the status of this integration.

Would it be possible to show CB custom field values (say telephone number, fax, age, sex etc.) on the info popup?

The latest beta build is installed on our demo site at firestorm-technologies.com/gmapsdemo/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=usersList&Itemid=32

There are still some outstanding issues that I need to resolve. Specifically, the avatar isn't showing up for some reason now.

NOTE: This will not be a free download once it is available.


In reply to the previous post about custom cb fields... I'll look into adding custom fields to the popup.

The BETA version is NOW AVAILABLE for download at www.firestorm-technologies.com/ for SUBSCRIBERS only. The extension should be considered subscriptionware as a fee applies to download it. This does include support and documentation.

Please note that this extension is not fully tested with UK addresses and has had minimal testing with European addresses.
