Shoutbox Announcer

New in version 3.0:

Admin side config in plugin config for:
Text to use in announcement
Which events to announce for including:
Login
Logout
New User
Profile Update
Avatar Change
Connection Accept
Connection Reject
Connection Remove

Version 3.1 has bug fix for first username on connection events.

version 4.0 is in current development

there will be a component, mambot, cb plug and language files for ver 4.0

so far the mambot and cb plug for 4.0 are stable and language files are developing fairly fast

the component will basically exist for admin side options, and for javascript files for shoutbox

the shohutbox will be absorbed into announcer to enable advanced link features and possibly bbcode support.

i could use some help with the javascript on this one, so contact me if you can help

for version 4, please include a script that I can use to add my own functions in other applications. for example I would modify my message forum posting template to include your script which will add a custom notice in the shoutbox. I have many modules I would like to add to the shoutbox.

I would also like the option to filter events to display only those in your connections (friends) list.

the main reason i started version 4.0 i forgot to list in the previous post

the actual annoucne function will be in a standalone file named annoucner.class.php, in com_shoutbox_announcer

you would require_once and then shoutbox::annoucner('the text to annoucne',$option=null)

the option will soon be used i am sure, and i feel this is a valid way of sharing a function and still be able to use main config options
