yeah I'm waiting for this too - think it said something on their site about integrating with smf too which would be perfect!

is there a payment component that would just basically put a user into a special group, then when the subscription runs out or cancels, put the user back into a regular group?
I just need a way to enable a subscription service for gallery2 for full size pic downloads, if I had a seperate group in joomla to sync gallery2 with, this would be pretty easy.

I'm currently working on such a beast, and work is advancing (no ETA yet, don't ask). ;)

Head on over to www.elearningforce.dk/ and vote for "MultisitesSubscription for CB" in their Poll.

They're apparantly working on a CB integrated Subscription component - let them know how much we want it!:) :)
