Thanks for your response, Kyle. I did *not* have Joomla registration disabled at Options, and now I have, so that is likely the problem. It was my error.

In any event, I am copying below an email received by one of many of 450 users who was not set to received such emails but did.

I want to thank you for helping me, and I apologize for my error. I suppose I should try a test registration now, but I fear the backlash from users if it goes wrong.

That's not CBs new registration email. It's as follows.

Subject: New User Registration
Body:

A new user has registered at [SITEURL]
This email contains their details
Name - [NAME]
E-mail - [EMAILADDRESS]
Username - [USERNAME]
Please do not respond to this message as it is automatically generated and is for information purposes only


Sounds like they're receiving either the Pending or Welcome email as configured in CB > Configuration > Registration and you've configured it with that message for whatever reason. Those 2 emails send to the user that registers. They are not moderator notification emails.

Alternative is you've something configured that's sending out an email at registration to the registering user. Maybe an email action in CB Auto Actions?

Thanks for clarifying. Yes, this is an introductory email, but it should not be going to an existing user, and it has been. I do not know what CB Actions is, and I cannot find it installed at my site.

What would cause an intro message that should go only to a new user to go to many existing users?

I don't understand the issue. The emails within CB > Configuration > Registration send to the user registering. They don't or shouldn't send to anyone else. Which one is sending to the wrong user? Pending? Welcome?

The emails that are going to ordinary users and should come only to me are Pending. See the example I sent to this thread.

The emails within CB > Configuration > Registration do not send to you. They send to the user registering. Pending and Welcome are not for you, they are for the user.
