No, what I mean is that the edit tab also gets removed once I disable the Menu tab.

You can see that the entire top bar gets removed.

Yes, the menu tab is responsible for rendering the menu. That's all it's supposed to do. Disabling its tab disables that menu bar. I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you're wanting to do. Please better clarify what you're trying to do.

Ok. I thought I have been clear. I want to remove the CB tab display which is circled in red. And only that one. The edit part should stay.



I have removed every entry in the tabs parameters but is is still showing:

Ensure you don't have some sort of Joomla caching present (Site > Maintenance > Clear Cache). If there's cached items there go ahead and clear it. If issue still persists please PM backend super administrator login credentials and can take a look.

I have already cleared everything and switched to another template. Still the CB tab is showing.
The site is local only so you cannot access it. I wonder what else I can check to get it removed.

I've no idea then as without being able to review I can't suggest anything further. If possible push to a live host and see if issue persists there. If it does then I can review your live site.
