Temporarily rename the language plugins folder at the below location.Given they cannot simply be unpublished what is the best way to uninstall and reinstall a language file?
Shouldn't cause any issues. I suggest being careful with how many usergroups and view access levels you create through as Joomla loads them all at once. If you have for example 100 usergroups your entire site will begin to feel the affect. This is a Joomla design issue though.The area that I was working in when this issue first arose was the ACL. I am having the problem even as SuperAdmin, so I discounted this as a likely issue, but is there anyway setting up additional Joomla user groups and access levels and assigning them different permissions might cause the hanging behavior on the CB User Mgt tab?
No that I am aware, but I do not use any ACL Managers.Are there any known conflicts between ACL Mgr and CB/CBS?
User management loads all of CBs plugins. The chances are very high that your slow down is due to a CB plugin.I also mention that we have about 14000 users in case this is relevant. Also that, while CB User Mgt was trying to open in one tab, another tab trying to open the Joomla Users | User Manager was also delayed - but did eventually open when the CB User Mgt tab timed out. On its own the Joomla User Manager opens okay.
I would use xDebug and enable Profiling to profile the user management page. I would then use Webgrind to review the cache file. This would tell me exactly where the slow down is happening. However, if you've no experience with xDebug this will be more than complicated to do. Your host maybe able to help profile so you may want to try contacting them as well.And I guess the general question: where would you look next if you were in my position?
