Problem with e-mail system

I have never used that before, but I found it.

I tried to send a test to SuperUsers and got this:


Notice

Could not start mail function.

So since CB and Joomla cannot send email, it is neither Joomla nor CB's fault.

You should contact your host helpdesk for assistance as your issue is clearly now server related.

Hmm....

Ok....

But I don't understand why it would be the host since my AycMailing is working just fine and sends e-mails great.

Maybe your host will shed light on this - maybe Acymailing has its own setup - sorry I do not know, but if Joomla mailing doe snot work then CB will also not work as it is keying off Joomla settings.

I am not getting any mass emails to go through. Getting Error - sending email: SMTP connect() failed.
Using Gmail with proper settings.

Please provide your CB and Joomla versions. As far as I'm aware the mass mail function purely relies on the mail setup of Joomla being correct. Is there any other place in Joomla that is able to send mails? Are you using SSL? sanjib.org/post/using-gmail-smtp-servers-in-joomla
