Site ground cannot do the change. I am on a shared plan. I guess, I can't use the recent cb. I will have to find other software unless there is another fix.

The only other fix is to delete some fields. You've hit the limit for your database configuration as the Antelope pointers are so huge you hit the limit very quickly. without Barracuda file format there's no way to get around the issue.

MYSQL allows for a configuration file (e.g. my.cnf) in the same way PHP does with php.ini. Your host should read the below regarding setting this up.

dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/option-files.html

It doesn't matter if you use CB 1.x or CB 2.x you are out of database column size space. CB 1.x likely wouldn't allow you to add more fields either or you were very close to that limit.

If field limit isn't the issue then it's typically caused by textarea fields with no character limit. These can end up taking a large amount of column size as multiple paragraphs in a single field is not advised. I'm not sure if there's a fix for this one. We've a pending bug ticket regarding it, but have yet to find a solution.

Even if I delete the fields, I don't want to try it again in case it blows my site away again. I think I will just go back with what I was doing before, and try to program around it. I need to return what I bought last week as I can't use it.

Site Ground will not budge. They will not change their database.

I backed up my site, and now still getting this error. I am trying to get back to where I was before I used the new Community Builder. How do I get rid of this message? Do I erase this file it is talking about?

Warning: file /home/kingcatm/public_html/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/pluginsfiles.tgz still exists. This is probably due to the fact that first installation step did not complete, or second installation step did not take place. If you are sure that first step has been performed, you need to execute second installation step before using CB. You can do this now by clicking here: please click here to continue next and last installation step.

You can't install CB 1.x over CB 2.x. You need to have a full backup of your site to restore to. Installing CB 1.x over CB 2.x will just result in an even more broken site. How are you attempting to revert? Extensions like Akeeba Backup can be used to create backups, but your host typically has backup features (ran manually or configure for automatic backups) that you can likely restore from.

That's displayed with the plugins archive still exists. It's typically deleted after CB installation completes. You an delete it manually from the location specified if your backup restored successfully.

OK, since our last conversation... I upgraded and Siteground made the changes to the database. I am still having the same problems and my site is messed up again.
