Major Problem with My Website

Major Problem with My Website was created by Smooth2SITF
I have been getting complaints from several people on my website that they cant log-in or reset their password. So I have tried and get the following messages

"Error

Please log in or sign up to view or modify your profile."

The message comes up on the Red Error box in the middle top of the page.

This also occurs with clicking the email link on the Email Form when you click the "Send Email" on a users profile or in a user list. User profiles are sent to Public so that is not the problem

I have searched EVERY area on this forms I can find, as well as tried everything in the book to figure out the problem and have been unsuccessful. Please, I really needs some help resolving this as we are in a peek time on our website for our annual conference.

Im baffled.

I have tried everything to figure out what this issue is. It just started this out of no-where.

If your not logged in, and you click a email on a profile, instead of going to the email form, it gives you the error message

If you are logged in, and you click the email on another users profile, instead of going to the email form, it goes to your own personal profile.

when I tried to log out, it keeps giving this message:

Page Name: CB Logout

Error

Session expired or cookies are not enabled in your browser. Please press "reload page" in your browser, and enable cookies in your browser. Please refresh/reload page before filling-in.

and it wont let me log-out.

So I re-start my computer to get out of it. Its not just me cause others are having the same problems.

So then I tried the other issue people are reporting.... Signing Up

Went through the sign-up process, clicked submit and got the same error:

Page title: CB Profile

"Error

Please log in or sign up to view or modify your profile."

I'm baffled, I have tried everything to figure out what is going on..... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me figure this out... Is there a setting that got changed somewhere in error? Please help

Ensure you've installed CB 2.x Nightly and all your CB plugins are up to date according to the chart found below.

www.joomlapolis.com/cb-20-addon-status

Once done ensure you've a public and published Joomla menu item to CBs profile page. If issue persists and you've SEF enabled then disable it and see if issue persists.

Kyle, thanks for your response. You have been a big help in the past.

I made sure everything was updated to the latest based on the chart you linked me to. I tired the site, still same problem.

So next I went to the SEF as you indicated. Turned it off, as it was on and then still... same problem.

jpdenny1, thanks for your suggestion. I tired it as well with no success. I turned it off, tried the site and still the same problem so, I turned it back on.

I am still not able to figure out whats going on. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm in desperate need to get this issue resolved so event registrations can continue for our conference.

Our site is pretty much crippled for user registrations so its prime to get it fixed ASAP.

Disable non-core CB plugins within CB > Plugin Management to see if issue goes away as it could be a plugin causing your issue (either by bug or misconfiguration). If that doesn't help check for any 3rd party Joomla user plugins within Extensions > Plugin Manager then disable them to see if issue resolves. If you're using one of those EU Cookie extension also try disabling it as I've heard some are causing problems with Joomlas session cookie.
