You have the field set to Read Only. So again, it can not be edited from frontend thus it can not be edited from ajax. You need full edit access permissions. If you don't want the user to be able to edit it, but you want to be able to ajax it then you need to protect it with CB Privacy and set its edit access to moderator only or a custom view access level.

The ajax edit can not work if the user can't edit the field. So if it's not visible in profile edit you aren't going to be able to ajax edit it. Next the ajax endpoint is subject to the profile access permission check, which is configured within CB > Configuration > User Profile as "Profile View Access Level". I don't know what more to tell you. You've a configuration problem somewhere.

Well the user CAN edit the field (have tried to log in as a simple registered user) and the "Profile View Access Level" is set to Registered which I as an Super User also have access to.
