Uploading error for uddeim 2.0 was created by flyer222
First below is an error message I am getting while trying to install a fresh copy of the latest uddeim version.

"There was an error uploading this file to the server."

When I saw the file size origially suspected there may be an issue with a file over 2 megs. I have tried a number or variations in installing but none work. Since I do not see an installer in the package that made me post here to see if there is a suggestion for a manual install using direct FTP.

Comments: I have been running Joombla, Mambo and SMF forums for years with little difficulty. I also installed a copy of Uddeim a few years ago successfully however I am sure it was a "1.0 or older version a smaller file" point is I am not a beginner but not a developer either. your help advice would be most appreciated.

System: Site is running on a shared server with Linix, Apache, PHP 5+.

Thanks in advance

Please do a local installation (ftp the package to temp folder, use the joomla installer to install it) or ask your provider to correct your server settings.

Thanks for getting back with me Slabbi. But didn't work so thought maybe the package was corrupt so I grabbed another copy of 2.0 from Joombla extensions. That didn't work either. Then I tried one more thing, downloaded a previous copy or 1.9 and it installed with no problem. Conclusion: Check your download copy from the link on Joombla extentions, looks like it has some problems!

Take care and thanks again.

The Joomla download link goes to my dev page and that archive is fine.

Are you sure you have downloaded the archive from Joomla.org? Have you cleared your browser cache before downloading the archive again (otherwise you will still get the same file)?

Yes I did actually check those issues, also DL was off the joombla.org page!. Can't really tell you what was going on for sure but as I mentioned the 1.9 installed slicker than a whisle. However, after your comment I think I will go to one of my other mechines and try it from there. If there was something hanging up in my system then that should tell the story.
Thanks again... I'll let ya know how it goes.

I am getting the exact same thing.
When I upload and try to install directly from tmp directory, it tells me to "Please enter a Package directory"
