Joomla 3.9.13 is here - a security and bug fixes release!

The Joomla project team has recently released version 3.9.13 that adresses two low-priority security issues and fixes over 15 bugs.

Security Issue Fixed

• Low Priority - Core - CSRF in com_template overrides view (affecting Joomla 3.2.0 through 3.9.12)
• Low Priority - Core - Path Disclosure in phpuft8 mapping files (affecting Joomla 3.6.0 through 3.9.12)

Bug fixes and Improvements

• Improve PHP 7.4 compatibility
• Improve reverse proxy support
• Fix active category detection
• Fix message filtering
• Improve sending mass mail

Community Builder 2.4.2 (latest build) and all Joomlapolis add-ons work just fine with Joomla 3.9.13. You can see everything in action on our demo site.

Joomla 3.9.13 is a recommended upgrade for all Joomla 3.x series sites - you should upgrade.

Joomla 3.9.12 is here - a security and bug fixes release!

The Joomla project team has recently released version 3.9.12 that adresses one low-priority security issue and fixes 30 bugs.

Security Issue Fixed

• Low Priority - Core - XSS in logo parameter of default templates (affecting Joomla 3.0.0 through 3.9.11)

Bug fixes and Improvements

• Fix for minyear and maxyear in the calendar
• Handle Google Font weights and styles in Protostar
• Fix user session on mssql server
• Protect SQL servers by adding pause mechanism to cli finder indexer
• Fix Imagelist custom field default image

Community Builder 2.4.2 (latest build) and all Joomlapolis add-ons work just fine with Joomla 3.9.12. You can see everything in action on our demo site.

CB Privacy 6.1.0 is here - with 9 new features!

CB Privacy 6.1.0 has been released with 9 new features and 7 bug fixes!

The main new features are:

• Display override previously supporting fields has now been extended to tabs.
• Ability to override the Asset of the privacy controls for a field or tab.
• You can now specify a view access level on a per privacy option basis.
• Ability to group together your simple privacy rules with a custom group title.

Community Builder latest build is here - with 2 new field types!

Kyle has just blogged about these 2 new field types and the latest Community Builder build has these new features free for downloading!

Decimal Number Field

This new field type has the following parameters:

• Thousands separator (supports language string for proper localization)
• Decimal separator (supports language string for proper localization)
• Step value

With these you will be able to render decimal field values like 1,000.05.

Color Field

Kyle refers to this in his blog as a 'just for fun' field and challenges our community to come up with creative ways to make use of this.
It is basically just a color selector but it can be used as a means to let your users select a color theme for various profile elements.

HTML5 Improvements

HTML5 improvements have also been included in this build for other field types (Integer, Email, etc.).
