Something that should go on your list of improvements is to add fields in the backend for the Yahoo ID and Google Maps API code so the xml file does not need to be edited.

You don't need to uninstall to edit the Google/Yahoo API information:

login to your database
goto js_components
click browse
look for the row with "name" joogle and hit edit for that row
the keys are located under: params
There's a text box there where you can change it
save it and you're done.

Well, it's not working for me. I am trying to install this on a fresh install of Joomla! 1.0.12 Stable and CB 1.0.2.

I unzipped the contents into a folder. I then edited the XML file with the appropriate keys. I then rezipped the entire structure into a new zip. I installed the component. I look at the db and the component is installed. I look at the LAT and LON entries for my account, and I see where they are updated with correct coordinates.

I created a menu entry for the Joogle component. When I click on it, a map of the United States shows up. However, my account does not appear on the map.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I have installed a clean version of 1_02_03_B. I entered in my Yahoo! API and Google code in the component table.

One the installed it created (2) Joogle component entries....

Also when I click on my menu item for the component i get the following error:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/username/public_html/components/com_joogle/joogle.php on line 55

I'm having this same problem. It keeps giving me the error on line55 but I've installed a fresh component and have created google/yahoo keys as required. I'm not sure why it tells me that the google maps API was registered for a different site? Any ideas?
