Help please !

- PhpBB 2.0.13 forum with a +1400 users.
- Fresh install of Joomla
- Installed CB + plugin + modified sessions.php
- PhpBB is called through "wrapper" module

When I login in Joomla, PhpBB show my user is online in userlist, but I am not logged in !

Can it be a cookie problem ?

NB : joomla is installed on a domain ( asso.adorateur.com ), and phpBB on anthore one ( www.adorateur.com )

OK, that was the problem : Joomla and PhpBB MUST be on the same domain !!! ;)

I would seriously reccomend upgrading that phpBB install too. 2.0.13 was a very vulnerable build.

upgrading isn't that hard (it is time consuming mine took an hour or so) if you have easymod. i have a heavily modified forum that i upgraded via the file changes and went from 2.0.15 to current in about an hour...

Kinnie,

Hear the comments but the plugin will most likely not support seperate databases until Joomla's new DB code handles multiple databases (J 1.1, 1.2, or 1.3... can't remember)... otherwise we would recode for additional databases now and later.

Then the code would need to be refactored to account for moving data between seperate databases and querying 2 databases then manually comparing data versus having MySql do the work, i.e. import/export mainly... as those routines currently INNER JOIN tables between phpBB and CB which I am not sure how or if JOINing tables across databases works... Again without joining tables the data needs to be read in and manually processed/joined.

While this is perfectly doable... I think there are other fixes/features on the list ahead of it... especially since Joomla's new DB stuff should help out... once developed and deployed.

Feel free to log it as a feture request on our tracker if you desire. But for the immediate future it will need to be in the same database and in the same domain...

This plugin installs like any other CB plugin... From the admin side go to the Components - Community Builder - Plugin Management screen. From there scroll down and in the Install Plugin area select the file then click the Install button... then click on the Continue link after that... Then just make sure the parameteres are correct in the phpBB Connector Plugin.

There is also a README.DOC in the ZIP file... make sure you have all of the other things correct for it to work (i.e. phpbb in same domain and database as joomla/CB, sessions.php modifications, etc.)
