Yes all fixes pushed in previous CB nightlies are now part of CB 2.0.10.

everything was working fine until I turned on cbsubs (upgraded to latest stable version) and then clicked on item that needed the free membership to access. message came up ok and could login and access the item. but then forgot login and registration quit working. so tomorrow I will step back through everything and turning of cbsubs did not fix the problem with registration and forgot login

It's looking like a real ordeal to get upgraded, and we can't afford any glitches on our live site...

Do not install CB 2.x or nightly or anything really on an active live site. Clone it, upgrade, test the clone, and if everything is ok then you upgrade your live site. You need to know what to expect before doing a live site upgrade or you risk running into unforeseen issues possibly breaking your site. This should always be the procedure whether it's Joomla, CB, or any other extension. Also always make a backup before upgrading.

What do you mean by stopped working? Please be sure debug mode and maximum error reporting have been enabled so errors output and describe what exactly is happening during any issue.

I do have a 'clone' of the live site for development. It's a little awkward to test with, as email is disabled on the test server ( to prevent reminder mails (etc) from going out to actual live customers). But the DEV server is configured identically to our live server, and I can look in the mail drop folder to see what 'would be' going out in the way of emails.

I'm VERY nervous about this CB upgrade, though... the 112 page "primer" doc is excellent, but there is nothing in there about upgrading. The 12 minute 'upgrading' video is helpful, but I would love to have an actual "upgrade from 1.9.1 checklist" - is there one somewhere?

I'm just not looking forward to several evenings spent repeatedly backing up the live site, taking it offline, walking through steps, finding broken stuff, rolling back, debugging. The 2.5-3.3 joomla upgrade was like that - eventually had it upgrading perfectly on the DEV site, but the installer crashed and burned (inexplicably) on the live site ( despite the dev being a clone of live, and server environments absolutley IDENTICAL). In the end, I just took the live site offline, imported (massaged) latest data into DEV , and then copied the clone up to live. Too many late nights keeping these leviathan PHP frameworks up-to-date... :-)

The primer book and the video are basically it. CB 2.x nearly rewrites all of our code. Backend specifically got most of the rewriting as it's all done through our XML engine now. Frontend received a complete face lift with Bootstrap markup and CSS built in. In addition to all the API fixes and improvements we've made throughout. Any feature that's major to your site should be retested to make sure it's behaving how you'd expect.
