Have reviewed your install and have no idea what's causing this. For some reason your POST data is all being lost when it submits registration. It's as if the POST never happened. I'm guessing something went wrong with your 1.x to 2.x upgrade to break CB, something installed is interrupting the registration (extensions acting on Joomla user store can easily do this), or something installed is altering the POST data.

I can debug further, but not sure if it'll be of any help. To debug further I'll need FTP access so I can begin adding debug code to try and see what's going on with the POST.

I can pm that info to you. what would you suggest doing on my end to achieve a succesful upgrade? I can afford to uninstall cbsubs and just upgrade cb at this point and then add new cbsubs. If I do that is it best to delete the database tables for cbsubs? then install 4.0?

I have sent you a pm

Have reviewed your install and it's due to your CB 1.x menu items not actually pointing to CB. Joomla was matching by the URL parts and causing the URL to registration save to change to registration view. I've re-saved your CB menu items to fix the issue and confirmed is working fine now. Please also confirm is working fine.

the forogt login and registration are now working thank you. which cb menu items were the problem? I am using copy of cb login module. I need to make sure I have it correct so I can make sure cbsubs works and then do it on live site this weekend after I step through it one more time on test site
Thank you so very much

Thank you!!!
I had no problems upgrading to the nightly release for cb and cbsubs 4.0.1. I disabled or unpublished cbsubs and anything else that integrates with cb and also to be safe unpublished the cb addons beside the core ones. The database tables were updated to innodb from the myisam.
i had to redo the menu items for community builder to point them to cb.
I did not check that before since it was working fine until I clicked on item that was protected by partial url. I had gotten so used to the everything with cb going so smooth that I had not thought to check the actual menu items to see if they had migrated ok since it seemed to work. All cb and cbsubs data was migrated and I do like the newer versions.
I still have to migrate the live site and will do that as soon as I can. Thank you for a wonderful product and support

Basically if you run into this issue just edit all your CB menu items and select their appropriate Type then save. This is only an issue because CB 1.x didn't create Joomla 2.x/3.x menu items correctly due to a compatibility issue between the old and new menu usage behavior in Joomla. This won't be a further issue once on CB 2.x.
