The CB Team is proud to announce the release of its first Joomla / CB Template combination, named MyCommunity. This light, lean, tableless design will make your website super efficient in terms of loading time, size and cleanness.
The MyCommunity template has been designed in a very sober clean way, avoiding any design clutter using cool unobtrusive blue and grey tones, so that the focus of the visitor is immediately drawn to the content of the pages, users' profiles, lists of users, latest news of the site.
The template validates XHTML 1.0 trans and CSS 2.1, is tableless for better accessibility, and has been successfully tested on a broad range of browsers. The template has been designed especially for clean Community Builder rendering, as well as for popular extensions, like uddeIM and fireboard.
The clean design and light fully CSS implementation makes your Joomla site super fast and efficient. A default joomla 1.0 homepage loads really very fast, even over slow mobile-phones or modems, as the template requires only the minimal 2 web-server requests (one for html and one for CSS that most browsers can handle in parallel) and in less than 10 kilobytes (webserver compression on).
As announced in the 'Work in Progress' article (here), the CB Team has released CB 1.2 RC4 to the general public. This release has fixed all identified issues reported during the previous closed-group RC phases and should be considered by most as stable quality and is already in use in many production sites.
As already stated, CB 1.2 RC4 works natively on all Joomla 1.0, Joomla 1.5 and Mambo codebases.
We would like to thank the CB Test team, the CB documentation subscribers, the forum contributors and the translation team for their contributions - without your help this would not be possible.
Please note that the detailed CB documentation (offered to CB doc subscribers) has been updated and that the CB Team is in the process of extending the current doc subscriber offerings, once again in order to thank this group for its continuous financial support.
All registered members (free registration) can download CB 1.2 RC4 from the CB Team releases download area of this site (or just click the appropriate link on the front page of this site - left column).

One month after the release of CB 1.2 RC (aka RC1) (read here), the CB Team is proud to announce the release of CB 1.2 RC2 to its documentation subscribers and its supporters.
All identified issues (tracked here) have (hopefully) been fixed and this second release candidate will be closer to stability. As previously stated CB 1.2 RC (previous release candidate) has been installed and is in operation on Joomlapolis and has been performing nicely.
Once again, we would like to thank our supporter and contributors and to ask them to post their feedback, findings, potential bugs, and documentation suggestions to the new forum areas created on Joomlapolis (here). Your feedback is needed in order to reach a stable release as soon as possible.

After a grueling, lengthy and patience taxing process, the CB Team is proud to announce the release of CB 1.2 RC to its documentation subscribers and its supporters.
As already mentioned in previous Joomlapolis articles (here), CB 1.2 (codename [eleftheria]) is the first CB release that operates natively in three CMS code-bases (Joomla 1.0.X, Joomla 1.5.X and Mambo compatible) without the need for extra (legacy type) plugins or libraries.
In addition to this cross CMS freedom, CB 1.2 RC has a great deal of additional features and enhancements.
A non-exhaustive list of the new CB 1.2 RC features has already been posted here.
The CB Team would like to thank the entire community, its documentation subscribers, its test team, its forum helpers, the third party developers and its newbies.
Documentation subscribers will find the CB 1.2 RC distribution package along with and updated CB 1.2 RC detailed documentation pdf file in their authorized download area.
Once again, we would like to thank our supporter and contributors and to ask them to post their feedback, findings, potential bugs, and documentation suggestions to the new forum areas created on Joomlapolis (here). Your feedback is needed in order to reach a stable release as soon as possible.
