newlog wrote: Yet, the issue is pretty easy to reproduce:
- install J2.23 with defaut beez template
- install CB 1.8
- publish CB Login module
- on frontend, simply click on the Login button without entering anything else

So, could you try it on your side and come up with a solution?

Thanks in advance.

I have tried this.
Pressing the Login button without anything in it just takes me back to this URL:

http://.../index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=login

Which seems correct - sorry I do not understand the issue.

Hi, the plugin works. Thanx. (J2.5.4, CB 1.8)

The only thing I´m missing is the redirect to the same url after login again. Do you guys think you can fix that?

All the best,
PA

@nant

Now I have understood (and solved) this issue!

This is not a CB issue, though I discovered it through the CB Login Module.

If you make a fresh J2.5.x install, simply publish the Login module, then login in frontend with empty username and password, you get the "double" login form: one in the module, one in the main area.

=> This is because the Login module is set to display on 'All pages' in the backend module manager.

If you simple switch the display to 'Only on selected pages', and further select all (or parts of) the existing pages, the problem disappears.

This works exactly the same with the CB Login module.

Not sure whether this is by design or a bug.

Certainly not a CB issue, anyway.

Hi all,

How can this now best be configured?

I am seeing the following problem on my Joomla site (v3.3.0) running CB (v1.9.1):

I have enabled the CB login module on the home page and configured it for logins with email addresses instead of usernames. However, if, for example, someone clicks on a link to a registered-users-only page, they get redirect to the standard login, which requires a username. How do I redirect to the CB login? I tried setting a redirect but that didn't work.

I see reference above to a plugin, but that was from two years ago.

Thanks
