CB RC2 Templates

Wow, it's so cool to see the talents of many people converge in producing something amazing, something that is so more-than-the sum-of-the-parts.

no, i dont have any live site because my site hosted on intranet only which only my organization can access. Several problems i found when creating templates and most of this problems are about browser differences (internet explorer got bugs) but fixed. Then i realize some of the css setting are not adjustable from the template.css such as width of the middle, left and right area. Then found out it is generated by main cb setting. Later i will publish the 1st template here when its totally bugs free.

About the plugins, i dont know how to create a plugins but for my site i just create a tab and copy paste php code whereby in backend setting of cb there got cb's own template selector dropdown.

For those of you wanted to create own template, please look into the templates folder and see the css file. From there you should know how to build 1. Hope got many css editor will create more template for cb.

I don't think i can help you with that. But, maybe a option to couple it simply with a dropdown field? appears normally when you update you're profile.

Ojeah. I got a little hack from a enchanted version of the original CB RC1. You can choose a color for you're profile. Maybe a beginning?

the one u mention is CBE which can be found on mambome. I used that before because its got lots of features. Sadly it is a ripoff from the cb and i dont know why they dont want to create something under one roof. (maybe for the money from contributor i guess but i dont know). The one u mention only allow simple colour change and it is quite hideous the colours availabe. Also i frustrated when i want upgrading from CBE to CBRC2 i got to alter some DB tables. Why cant just create something under the same roof.......

Exactly! One roof is much much better,Same frustrations here! Im using on my live site CBE. But i'm working on a new version, and with the come of CBRC2 stable I'm lancing my site With the best and only CB.

But, what i want to say: Maybe can we use the code from the dropdown, or just for the inspiration.

sephirothVR by the way: have you transfered the connections succesfull to CB RC2?

lol, if u want copy your buddy list from cbe to cb rc2 is lots of work. I dont know any short cut but i try study the rc2 table n cbe then create the db table myself. Luckily i only got 100 users and only about 30 of them got buddies but still lots of work. But luckily also the mos_user tables remains because cbe n cbrc2 uses from same db. All i can say is if you got lots of registered users then better forget it or try ask anybody who got better solution. I only recreate db tables for each table 4 each user using sql editor programme & yes, it is lots of works.
