Yes I've tied this but this is not the one I need.

Using this you only show "one user" (Self Only) activity, but this is not "group activity".

Group Activity would be the list of any thing (wall, event, file, ... ) post in a group for any joined user.

With your option, in user tab, shows the selfonly
and in recent shows every thing for open, and joined groups....

I think that "group activity" will be a good improvement for next releases.

It's not a group activity plugin, it shows a users activity. If you want group activity only then as explained earlier you need to disable all other activity and set it to show the activity of everyone.

It shows activity of every group they can access. Set all the tabs to non-public by default and disable the ability to change them and then they should basically only see activity of the groups they belong to.

No, again it is user activity and not group activity. It's not designed just for GJ. You can also accomplish what you're wanting; please see my previous reply and the quote above.

I don't understand the question. CB Activity does show user activity, but it only shows activity it supports; it has API for you to add extra activity if needed (cb activity database object or database query, both are acceptable).

It only has the recent activity page and the tab. You can either uses substitutions to render in the tab (CB Content module for example) or use a wrapper module for the recent activity page. You can also set the recent activity page to show "Self Only" activity if you want to use it specifically in a wrapper module instead of substituting in the profile tab.
