CB Facebook Connect 1.6 has just been released.
Version 1.6 now uses Facebook oauth2 library and now supports first login and subsequent login redirects for Facebook users. The detailed documentation included in the package has also been updated.
As Facebook has depreciated and is not longer supporting its previous library, this is a mandatory upgrade for all previous versions.
All Developer, Professional and Advanced members can download this new version and just install over their existing environment for easy upgrade. No changes need to be made on the Facebook application side.
Version 1.6 can also be purchased as a one-time product purchase from our CB Add-ons page (although membership subscription provides the best value and free upgrades).
And as with all our CB plugins, this works natively on all (1.5 and 1.7) versions of Joomla!
CB Connect 2.0 has been released and is available as a free maintenance download for all Professional and Developer members.

ersion 2.0 of the CB Auto Actions plugin has just been releaased and is available as a free upgrade for all Professional members.
The CB Auto Actions plugin is a very powerful tool that has absorbed functionality previously available in other incubator add-ons.
This release addresses 4 identified issues and also implements the following 5 new features:
- Create AlphaUserPoints user if needed (Joomla 1.7.x only)
- Custom URL strings for redirect model (redirect URL strings supported: "return", "goback" and "reload")
- Added code model (this allows execution of inline HTML, PHP, JS, jQuery and CSS loading)
- Added user group model (allows you to add/remove user to Joomla ACL group)
- Action type description in list display
The user group model feature supported in this release opens the door to many new use case possibilities. For example, you can create an action to add a user to a Joomla ACL group if a specific CB field criteria is satisfied during registration.

Version 2.1 of the CB Blogs plugin is available for download by all Professional and Developer members. This is a great way to let your users create their very own blog content on your website.
The CB Blogs plugin can be configured to use the Joomla content structure (storing blogs as Joomla articles in Joomla categories), the K2 content structure or its own internal storage database (independent of Joomla or K2).
No matter which content structure model you choose, CB Blogs will show all user blogs in a user profile blogs tab. This way profile viewers can easily view all blogs created by the profile owner.
You can also enable moderator approval of blogs and you can limit the number of blogs a specific user can have!
CB Blogs 2.1 features a frontend approval interface for moderators, notifications sent to moderators for pending items, and catagory title links for Joomla and K2 models.

A brand new Incubator add-on has just been created. Version 1.0 of the CB DB Lookup Field plugin is now available for download for all Professional members. This plugin adds a new "DB Lookup" field type to the CB Field Management area. Such a field can be used on your registration form to force applicants to enter a prespecified code when registering. The code entered must validate (match) by successfully querying a database lookup table that is used to store valid access codes.
Many users have expressed similar use case scenarios that involve not permitting users to register if they do not have the proper access code. This new plugin can be used to accomplish such a use case.
The Incubator project area has a short wiki explanation that describes a typical use case scenario and a default code database table and SQL queries that work with this specific sample codes table.
It sounds technical, but its relatively easy to configure.
