I'm not sure using the gallery is such a great idea. Most people dont want others to download MP3s so theylll want the capability to upload their songs without them showing up in the gallery.

Hence, i think a seperate http upload is a better idea

Just got back to everyone who were interested in testing it out, so if you had asked for the beta, you should now be able to access it from JoomlaForge.

I'm crossing my fingers to have a little time this weekend to squash a potential security issue with registering hits from the XSPF Flash Player, have it tested exhaustively against CB 1.0.2 and changes coming in Joomla 1.0.12, then get a release candidate up and out the door.

Okay, I'll see about that. It'll just mean a new user field and a quick code change, I think.

I'm activly using your plugin on my sm-music.com site
you'll find it by looking for the "Collaborating artists" in "Find Other Profiles" (this may change)

I've also downloaded the original FLA to see if I can skin the player. Have you changed any of the code from the original FLA?

All I need is the skinning and a working HTTP upload, and i'll be using this player for sure

Altering the .fla of the player and publishing a new .swf file did work fine for me when I tested it. The player logic is actually found in the ActionScript file (xspf_player.as).

could you please post everything in one post on what to do to get this thing, or if its better how to join, what to do etc.
Why not release the beta instead?
